Our History

For over a decade Aventura has been on the cutting edge of the surveillance technology industry offering a number of firsts. In the year 2000, Aventura introduced the world's first MPEG4 Enterprise Server-Based DVR using non-proprietary algorithms.

In 2002, Aventura expanded on its leading video compression technology by porting its DVR solution to a ruggedized mobile environment, creating the industry's first 16-channel mobile video recorder.

The following year in 2003 saw Aventura migrate to the first complex video codec H.264. At the time it was touted as merely a video conferencing standard, which Aventura proved was short sighted. Today, more than 8 years later virtually all modern recording solutions recognize the advancements of H.264.

The Company's product offerings evolved over the years from merely a video management platform to the current "glass-to-glass" enterprise solution consisting of cameras, recording, storage, transmission, communications, management and control.
